Short Italy Under 35
A new space for emerging Italian cinema, Short Italy Under 35 is the Malescorto spin-off dedicated to young Italian directors and the new generation of national cinema.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the Cinema Comunale in Malesco, bringing the Festival to a close.
In its first edition, the initiative was launched as an experimental project supported by MiC and SIAE within the 'Per Chi Crea' program. Its goal is to promote under-35 talents, offering them a space for screenings, dialogue, and professional growth within the Festival.
The First Edition
Four short films by young Italian creators have been selected for this pilot edition. The works will be screened in the theater in the presence of the filmmakers, who will meet the audience and industry professionals for a direct dialogue focused on sharing experiences and presenting their creative journeys.
Alongside the screenings, a dedicated panel session will be held exclusively for audiovisual professionals.
A workshop for new generations
Short Italy Under 35 was created as a meeting space for young filmmakers, the audience, and audiovisual industry professionals. It offers an opportunity to connect different languages, experiences, and perspectives, aiming to foster the cultural and professional growth of the new generation of Italian cinema.
